It’s amazing for great the New York City Manhattan area is for the magician and mentalist market. I perform as a mentalist in the NYC/Manhattan area for about half my show. Especially now being the company holiday party season, everyone is looking for a cheap entertainer.
Since the cost of living out in New York City is so expensive, a magician or mentalist such as myself can charge my normal rate plus travel and still come in under the standard New York City mentalists and hypnotists.
Last year alone I performed 8 bar mitzvahs 3 bay mitzvahs, 6 corporate mind reader shows, 2 fill ins as a magician, and helped a buddy who was an illusionist make a jet appear.
Since I have my base of operations in east state Pennsylvania for half of the year, I can be cost effective and unique entertainment for team building and sales seminars. Not to mention the huge draw I had at the sound and lighting expo trade show!

The local New Jersey mentalist market has been set ablaze lately too. The growth of New Jersey in the medical and textile trade has set my trade show and corporate seminar entertainment and lectures off to a whole new level. Having performed at the Tropicana Atlantic City with illusionist Brett Daniels, I have met many local corporations and have performed all over. It’s great to experience a new artist and New Jersey seems to be growing exponentially and needs more entertainers. My first professional gig as a hypnotist 4 years ago was in New Jersey for a sales seminar! I killed! I guess thats why my agent calls me so much for New Jersey and New York Shows.
